Ice Climbing Course – Beginners is a basic course to approach for the first time the vertical ice world.
The focus are the climbing techniques of piolet-traction and the security on icefalls, with a correct technical setting and maneuvers on the rope.
The course is of 4 ice climbing days.
It could be organized ad hoc for at least two people.

1st Ice Climbing Course – Beginners:
First weekend: 12-13 January 2019
Second weekend: 26-27 January 2019

2nd Ice Climbing Course – Beginners:
First weekend: 9-10 February 2019
Second weekend: 16-17 February 2019

PRICE for 4 days:
from 330 euro per person *. Price includes organization, leading and teaching by the Mountain Guide, RC insurance, equipment for common use.

NOTE:
*The Price does not include transfers, overnight stay or eating. The overnight stay and the expenses of the Alpine Guide must be divided between the participants. The proposals are indicative of a rough program.
They may vary according to weather conditions, the number of participants or other variables.

PROGRAM:
The course will be organized over two weekends, the first weekend location is an ice crag to become familiar with the ice element and the materials. The second weekend we will climb a multi-pitch icefall.
Day 1: presentation of equipment (ice axes, crampons), knots (eight, boatman), safe (tube, belay device), use of ice axes and crampons, belay, abalakov
2nd day: basic technique (fundamental progression), ice screw, triangle progression
3rd day: icefall climbing
4th day: icefall climbing

Mountain boots (rigid soles), snow gaiters, crampons, 2 Ice axes, 3 carabiners, belay device, harness, helmet, Warm and water-proof clothing, thin gloves, wrist-strap of 120 cm, kevlar of 60 cm. Possibility to rent ice axes and crampons.
